Job DescriptionMediclinic Middle East, the leading private hospital group in United Arab Emirates is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Non-Interventional Cardiologist for their premium hospital, Mediclinic Al Jowhara Hospital in Al Ain.
Mediclinic Al Jowhara Hospital is a premium healthcare facility offering a broad range of services, central to which is a focus on maternal and child health. Amongst other medical and surgical disciplines, it provides the very latest in obstetric and paediatric care including neonatal intensive care facilities. As a boutique hospital with 32 inpatient rooms and VIP suites, Mediclinic Al Jowhara offers a high level of care which is tailored to the individual requirements of its patients.
The consultant non-interventional cardiologist will be expected to provide specialised Cardiologist services to Mediclinic Al Jowhara Hospital patients according to current best-evidence based standards and in accordance with Al Mediclinic Middle East Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations.
Requirements- Basic medical degree and completion of a recognised higher professional education program in Cardiology.
- Certification of higher professional education recognised by Health Authority – Abu Dhabi HAAD: CCT in Cardiology or American Board Certification in Cardiology, or equivalent recognised by HAAD.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years relevant experience since gaining higher qualification, of which three years consultant experience in a western hospital setting is preferred.
- Must have good interpersonal skills and should be able work in a multidisciplinary team
- Must be confident to communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, doctors and other hospital staff.
- Publication in peer reviewed journals would be well regarded.
- Should be able to deliver quality patient care and demonstrated commitment to quality improvement for better health outcomes
- Fluency in written and spoken English (Arabic language skills are well regarded)
- Good computer skills is expected of this role.
Key Outputs- Provide comprehensive consultant level quality patient care in non-invasive cardiology service and run daily clinics.
- Participates in activities and opportunities to promote and enhance the Cardiology services and the Hospital to the general public and wider medical community of Al Ain and the U.A.E.
- Contributes in the educational activities of the Medical Staff as a whole.
- Conducts Clinical Audits in line with Medical Advisory Committee requirements.
- Review and participate in planning activities relevant to the development of the Cardiology Service and the Hospital.
- Fulfils professional requirements for continuing maintenance of competence in all aspects of Non Interventional Cardiology.
